Create Elegant Raised Cattails with Free Style Cattails
Who knew cattails could be so elegant? Add them to your walls, then highlight them with metallic paints as I did here for a rich, sophisticated finish.
The two-stencil set makes it easy to create a natural-looking stand of cattails. Simply repeat the stems to create cattails any height you wish, then position the cattails and blade clusters to create a beautiful design that’s uniquely your own.
To achieve the raised effect, apply joint compound, plaster, or another textured finish over the stencil. Once dry, paint the entire wall your desired color. After the paint has dried, lightly brush metallic paint over just the raised cattails to make the design come alive with beautiful depth and dimension.
