If you want to try a counter top with them, simply cast them with Portland cement instead of plaster.

Use them as a background to smaller mold designs such as our Realistic Roses. And since they are shaped just like a holiday ornament, why not cast them, drill a hole at the top (yes, plaster is drillable, just place it against a solid surface and don't push very hard on the drill bit), then lace a ribbon through the hole, paint, glitter and personalize. Hang on the tree or tie to packages as a simple, inexpensive, yet elegant gift card.

Remember that plaster of paris and even concrete can be pre-tinted with pure pigment paints, or concrete/stucco colorings.
