Decorating with Stencils

 When Heather Allen's daughter asked her to decorate her room she probably had NO idea Heather would take it to the limit and give her THIS!

Heather should have been an interior designer with her imagination and combination of colors and elements.

After fading a midnight blue upper wall down to a yellow lower wall, she plastered our life sized tree then painted it silver and literally sprinkled it with glitter! (or is that fairy dust!).

The final touch were the adorable floating fairies with dresses and wings in coordinating colors bringing the whole design together in such a lovely and whimsical way.

So in your decorating, don't forget the kids........ they have wonderful imaginations themselves and can help with the lay out and even the application of the project in most cases.

As I look at how the silver plastering looks on that deep midnight blue, I'm now wondering what wall I could completely paint in that color and add that stunning silver tree! What an awesome entrance that would make!

Creating the plaster tree is not only fun, it's easy! Begin with the trunk stencil, repeat it upward for height then use it as side branches, then add leaves any way you choose!
