Donna Lynn, I've found, is a
very creative woman. And winter is one of her favorite times of year. Her home sports many creative ideas that you will see elsewhere on this website, but this is one of my favorites. Donna didn't feel the need or even have the desire to do our Raised Plaster Aspen Tree Stencil like all of the rest of us have done.... she had a much different idea in mind; something creative and unusual. An Aspen in "Winter". Donna plastered the trunk on deep green walls, leaving the plaster it's natural color of white to show off it's detail and all of it's glorious depth. Instead of creating lush branches of leaves, Donna allowed her branches to be mostly "leafless" with just a few falling leaves escaping the trunks hold on them. This proves a point I'm always trying to make to each of you. BREAK OUT OF THE BOX! Just because everyone else does something a certain way, doesn't mean that you have to! Like Donna, allow your mind to be free and to see it as YOU would see it. Take that fleeting thought you just had and give it a try! Thank you Donna for all the creativity you provide to us and for not being afraid to let your imagination create something "extra" special! |
