Decorating with Stencils

Beautiful soft colors and raised stenciling give this room new life!

Debi Soto used one simple plaster vine stencil to create the most ornate walls in her beautiful home.

Her uniqueness came from dividing the room's colors between white and sage green and using the vine to beautifully separate them with a raised design.

Where the colors meet, she plastered a straight border. In other areas, she has let the vine wind and trail in all it's "raised glory" which turned out just beautiful. She left the plastering pure white to stand out with shadow instead of further color.

What a calming effect the colors in this room tend to have. I like the idea very much and you will find it easy to do.
