A lesson in how to decorate for a forest feel

Brenda Slanga isn't just an enthusiast as most of us are, she's a "pro" with more ideas and talent to offer her clients than most of us can ever dream of. That's why she does what she does.

Many people own rustic homes they're the type of people who could live in a tent in the forest if need be. They love nature and want to be amidst it's beauty and wonder.

But many also have problems decorating with that "feel". Brenda resolves that issue by bringing hand painting, faux finishing and texture to the walls of this beautiful home.

Textured walls with a deep, woodsy faux finish make the perfect background for Brenda's hand painted pine branches. The branches themselves are raised in plaster, the needles were painted by hand.

Brenda says:

"I embossed some pine branches into the texture as well as hand painted pine branches. This is a hand troweled texture, I just loved the look of this with the colors, customers are really happy.

Fun to do this look, there was no rush so I had fun working on it.
