Decorating with Faux Finishing

You can fake just about anything these days...except friendship.

 Janie Weidner introduced herself to me late last year and I've been fascinated with this woman ever since! Anyone who can do the things she does captures my attention and keeps it!

Janie is not only capable of designing fabulous ceilings, but capable and certainly un-afraid to tackle the job herself! Be it dangling from a ladder or laying on her back on scaffolding, this woman creates spectacular ceiling designs and seems to have a never ending supply of ideas!

The ceiling displayed here is not something that you and I can just instantly do, as it doesn't include a simplistic method of creating a dramatic design such as stenciling, painting or plastering....

This ceiling design involves layers of wood, hand painted, gilded and attached with more hands and muscles than I personally have but the breathtaking beauty of it makes me scream with "I WANT IT"!

Take a look at the awesome detail in the bottom photo... the brilliant and beautiful colors that she chose.

Janie, you are IT when it comes to ceilings!
