Molded Plaster Gives a Plain Doorway Elegant Detail |

Eddie McMillan discovered our plaster molds a few years ago and has used them to create such ornate beauty in his home that it's difficult for him to imagine how it used to look. The doorway in his dining room was as most doorways are; plain and uninteresting. Eddie's love of architecture led him to create this gorgeous door surround by adding further height to the doorway with plyboard then adding a top and corbels to give sturdy structural detail. The further addition of smaller cast plaster ornaments from our molds between the corbels add more detail. By painting the entire door surround the same color as the door brings the entire design together, making it look like a single piece. We love Eddie's projects and hope for many more! |
