Decorating with Window Treatments

More Thrift store Treasures!

Narrow little windows in the master bath at our home in the forest of Idaho were an interesting challenge for me but one I was ready to tackle since I was almost done with the room re-decoration project.

Me, I'm a "thrift shopper" from way back. I tend to find things no one else has because they haven't been in the stores in years! Well, look what I found!

See the white sheers? I found an enormous one (about 10 feet long) that was discolored on one end due to water damage but the rest of it was in GREAT shape! So I cut it down to fit my two small windows, used heat activated "hemming tape" and my iron to finish off the sides and create my rod pocket at the top.

Overhead, I screwed in three matching medallion swag holders that I found on sale at the Home Store (they're going out of style but I still love them because you can do so darned much with them!).

Over them, I draped a silver (looks lavender I know but it's not) satin swag.

From the center swag holder, I hung a real Crystal "Christmas Ornament"... too lovely to have to wait an entire year to be hung on the tree!

With everything else I'd done to transform that bath from it's former brilliant purple decor to it's now quite elegant and beautiful setting, these window treatments brought it all together perfectly!
