Marie Weinert decided she wanted something different on her walls.
Something that added architectural detail and gave the room an unusual and
classy wall treatment.
Deciding that "breakaway plaster" was just the ticket, she set out to
accomplish what she could see in her head.
Here's what she said:
"An amateur by far, only to prove anyone can do it! I done this several
times in my home, my daughter's home and now in my son's home. I used:
Victoria Larsen's raised plaster brick
stencil, Faux like a Pro's Fizzy
Pigments in three different shades to color the brick; Tatuaoge of the
niche, and Behr's Belagio Faux paint which looks different each time
depending on the base coat. This was done in the entryway and what a
statement it makes. Everyone feels the bricks to determine if they are
real. I've recently completed the tree on the stairwell and will paint
the leaves in metallic copper. The mylar is great for raised plaster
and makes the job so easy. Thanks, Victoria!" |
